A great friend of mine, Michele, renovated this beautiful stone house nestled in the heart of Ostuni’s old town. The apartment perfectly blends tradition with understated elegance. When Michele decided to share it with the world, I wanted the online experience to reflect that same quiet charm.
The result is La Quattordici Luxury Apartment — a modern, intuitive website designed to mirror the timeless atmosphere of the home itself. If you ever find yourself wandering through Ostuni, it’s the kind of place that invites you to stay a little longer.
The website was built from scratch with a focus on clean design and mobile-first performance. It runs on Next.js and React, styled with Tailwind CSS, and structured with TypeScript to keep the codebase reliable and maintainable. The visuals emphasize space, light, and materials — echoing the textures of Ostuni’s architecture and the relaxed elegance of the home.
The backend features include email handling and calendar integration via Nodemailer and node-ical, supporting bookings and seasonal updates without overcomplicating the experience. Every part of this project was crafted to feel authentic, calm, and true to the place it represents — technology used not to impress, but to invite.
